Chevrolet Aveo har bara sex års rostskyddsgaranti. Bilen är också undermåligt rostskyddsbehandlad och saknar helt invändig behandling i baklucka och motorhuv.
Inuti dörrarna finns viss behandling, men den är ytterst sporadisk och gör ingen större nytta. Även den invändiga behandlingen i balkarna under bilen har klara brister och finns bara på de absolut mest utsatta ställena.
Underredets slitskydd är heller inte på topp och samma sak gäller de många otätade skarvarna. Bakläxa blir det också för att bränslepåfyllningsröret är i plåt och går rakt igenom hjulhuset, som saknar innerskärmar. Därmed är röret illa utsatt för smutssprut.
På minuskontot noteras även att tätningarna i baklucka, huv och dörrar är bristfälliga och att stänklappar saknas.
Mer positivt är att skärmkanterna bak är av bra konstruktion och att innerskärmar i plast finns fram. Många av skarvarna under bilen har också ventilerande luftspalter som till en del minskar risken för rost.
– Men det räcker inte, Aveo får underkänt. Betyget blir en svag tvåa, säger Vi Bilägares rostskyddsexpert Thomas Widström.
