På frågan om vem som tillverkar flest däck om året är det rätta svaret varken Michelin, Goodyear eller Pirelli. Ingen av de stora däcktillverkarna kommer ens i närheten av de 318 miljoner däck om året, eller om man så vill 870 000 däck om dagen, som vinnaren mäktar med.
Det rör sig dock om en tillverkare vars däck knappast passar till en vanlig Volvo, Volkswagen eller Toyota. Det är nämligen en av världens största leksakstillverkare, Lego, som tillverkar däck 24 timmar om dygnet och 365 dagar om året.
Det är Guinness rekordbok som nu har utsett Lego till världens största däcktillverkare. Utmärkelsen kommer på sätt och vis passande, då Lego i år firar 50 år sedan det första legohjulet såldes 1962. Innan dess byggde barn hjul av klossar.
Nu för tiden innehåller vartannat Lego-set hjul. Inte konstigt att det då behövs gott om däck.

Vad jag tycker om Legos däck? Att de har hög tillförlitlighet, de håller länge och har en stark slitbana. Det grova mönstret innebär bra vidhäftning för flera underlag och god vattendränering, däremot tycker jag bullernivån är lite väl hög och komforten rent allmänt inget vidare.
