CR-Z Mugen är ett samarbete mellan Honda i Storbritannien och Mugen Euro i Northampton. Med kompressorhjälp har effekten i 1,5-litersmotorn stigit från 114 till 200 hästkrafter. Övriga siffror är inte helt officiella men vridmomentet ska ligga kring 245 newtonmeter.
För den med miljösamvete kan det vara skön att veta att hybridtekniken finns kvar. Och för att sänka förbrukningen, eller göra bilen mer körglad, har Mugen Euro bantat CR-Z på 50 kilo.
Med dessa förbättringar blir CR-Z lika kvick till 100 km/tim som Civic Type-R, som nyligen slutat säljas i Europa på grund av att den inte uppfyller de senaste avgaskraven. Miljöboven når för övrigt 100 km/tim på 6,6 sekunder. CR-Z hybrid i originalutförande klarar samma disciplin på 9,9 sekunder.
Produktionsbeslutet är som det brukar heta ännu inte fattat.
